  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Shaw, 20, is one of the most decorated young players in American soccer. She worked her way into the San Diego Wave first team as a teenager, and helped the Southern California side to the NWSL Shield and NWSL Challenge Cup in 2023.

The attacking midfielder was also a member of the USWNT team that secured a Gold Medal at the Paris Olympics last summer – giving Gotham four players of that team.

  • WHAT SHAW SAID

Shaw outlined her excitement in joining Gotham in a club statement: "I’m so excited to be a part of this incredible club and community. I’m looking forward to playing alongside world class players and giving my all to help the team win another championship."
