Cenk Tosun had another Premier League outing to forget as Everton slumped to a 3-1 defeat to West Ham United at Goodison Park on Sunday.

Whilst the Toffees were poor as a team, things could have gone much, much better for them had Tosun been on form. Instead, the striker spurned a number of glorious goalscoring opportunities and was eventually hauled off with over 20 minutes to go in favour of Oumar Niasse as Marco Silva’s men went in desperate search for a goal.

Since arriving on Merseyside in January – for a big fee of around £27 million, according to the BBC – the 27-year-old has only managed to find the back of the net 5 times for his new club. He is yet to get off the mark this season too.

Silva can’t afford to be fielding a centre-forward week in week out who is failing to take his chances. The time has come for the Turkey international to be removed from the firing line for a while. The likes of Niasse, Dominic Calvert-Lewin or even Theo Walcott could be given a chance to lead the line in his stead.

What do you think, Everton fans – should Tosun be dropped now or should Silva keep faith in the struggling forward?
